Website design · Aberdeenshire & North East Scotland

Website design and development in Aberdeenshire.

Fast, findable sites for small businesses across the North East. Built and finished personally, with the price agreed before any work starts.

What a finished build looks likeResponsive by default, quick on a phone, and structured so Google can read it.

What a website is for

A brochure nobody finds is just an expense

Most small business websites fail at one of two hurdles. Either nobody finds them, because the structure and the search foundations were an afterthought, or people find them and leave, because the site is slow on a phone and never says clearly what to do next.

Everything here is aimed at those two problems. Proper page structure, titles, meta descriptions and schema go in as standard, not as a later add-on. Speed and mobile performance get checked before launch, not after a complaint.

There are two routes in. An AI Powered Starter Website from £800 for straightforward brochure sites, personally reviewed and finished so you never receive raw AI output. Or a fully bespoke Premium build from £2,400 when the design, functionality or strategy is more involved.

  • Every site personally finished by me. You never get raw AI output.
  • Fixed price agreed before a single line of work starts.
  • WordPress or Shopify, on a platform you can hand to anyone later.
The straight answer
What it costs

From £800

AI Powered Starter sites from £800. Fully bespoke Premium builds from £2,400. Fixed and agreed upfront.

How long it takes

Agreed before we start

Starter sites are quick by design. Bespoke builds take longer. Either way you get a date, not a shrug.

What you walk away with

A site that gets found

Fast on mobile, structured for Google, and simple enough that you can update it yourself.

What is actually in it

Built to be found, and built to convert

A website only earns its keep if strangers can find it and then know what to do next. That is what every build is aimed at.

Built around the enquiry

Every page has one job: get the right person to phone, email or fill in the form. Layout, copy and calls to action are set up for that, not for decoration.

Fast on a phone

Most local searches happen on mobile. Sites are built and optimised for Core Web Vitals so visitors do not give up before your page has loaded.

Search foundations as standard

Proper page structure, titles, meta descriptions and schema on every build, aimed at what your customers actually type into Google.

WordPress or Shopify

Brochure site, booking system, customer logins or a full online store. Built on a platform you can hand to anyone later, with nothing locking you in.

Video that does not slow you down

Video is produced in house and embedded properly, so you get the visual edge without wrecking your page speed.

Looked after after launch

Optional maintenance: updates, security checks and backups, so the site is still working properly six months later.

One person, start to finish

You get the technical side of a large agency, from someone who actually picks up the phone when you ring.

What clients say

Running since 2012, with the sites to show for it

Aberdeen Storage Units, Jim Reid Vehicle Sales, ITC Hydraulics, MRB Plumbing and Heating, MRG Electrical and Coach Beede in Massachusetts are all live builds. These reviews are from clients across web, video and audio work.

“Neil was absolutely a true professional. He took a very poor video I gave him, and when I took his suggestions for improvement, he made it exceptional! He was easy to work with and his communication regarding issues that crop up were very understandable without a bunch of Tech speak complicating things.”

Where I work

Aberdeenshire based, and it matters

Weightman Digital works out of Oldmeldrum, twenty minutes from Inverurie and half an hour from Aberdeen. That means we can sit across a table rather than swap calendar links. Ellon, Westhill, Banchory, Stonehaven, Peterhead, Huntly and Turriff are all easy runs.

Most of my clients are small businesses across Aberdeenshire and the North East, in trades, hospitality, retail, professional services and energy. I know what a local customer types into Google here, because it is what I type in too.

Questions people actually ask

Website design questions, answered straight

How much does a new website cost?
Two routes. An AI Powered Starter Website from £800, which suits small businesses, freelancers and straightforward brochure sites. Or a fully bespoke Premium website from £2,400, where the design, functionality or strategy is more involved. Once I know what you need I will tell you which one fits, and I will not push you towards the dearer one for the sake of it.
What is the difference between the £800 Starter and a Premium website?
The Starter uses AI tools to generate the initial code, structure and imagery quickly and affordably. I then personally review, refine and finish every site before it goes live, so you never receive raw AI output. Premium websites are fully bespoke builds for businesses with more complex requirements and a higher level of custom design and strategy.
How long does a new website take to build?
Starter Websites are built for a fast turnaround because AI speeds up the process. Premium builds take longer depending on complexity. Either way I agree a clear timeline with you upfront, before any work starts.
Will my website be optimised for Google, or will it just look good?
Both. Every site is built with proper page structure, titles, meta descriptions and schema, then checked for speed and mobile performance. A website that looks great but loads slowly and converts nobody is not doing its job.
What if I do not like how it is turning out?
You see the site as it is being built rather than only at handover, so there is no big reveal to dread. If something is not right, we change it while it is still being built.
Can you look after the site once it is live?
Yes. Maintenance packages cover updates, security checks and keeping everything running smoothly. It is optional rather than compulsory, and priced separately so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Do I need to be technical to work with you?
No. You tell me what the business needs in plain English and I handle the technical side. You will get a site you can update yourself if you want to, and you can leave it with me if you would rather not.
Do you build websites for businesses outside Oldmeldrum and Inverurie?
Yes. I work with businesses across Aberdeenshire and the North East of Scotland, including Inverurie, Ellon, Westhill, Peterhead, Banchory, Stonehaven, Huntly, Turriff and Aberdeen, plus clients further afield including the United States.

Not sure a new website is the answer?

Then ask me. I will look at what you already have and tell you honestly whether it needs replacing, fixing, or leaving well alone.
